This works really well, I use this method every day in the fishroom.    I have a small flower vase with the a taper in the middle and have the floss in the narrow area.   I replace the water in the top after each use and can usually get about 3-4 days worth of eels from just one filled vase.   Then when done, the vinegar goes back into my large container and I get some new solution.   Vinegar eels seem to be a good food for newly hatched fry because they live in the water until eaten.
